Reiner Knizia Designer Series

Reiner Knizia, a PhD in mathematics started publishing his first games in 1990. Since then he has been one of the world's most prolific game designers with more than 600 games and books published in numerous languages and countries including many global licences such as Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, LEGO, Mensa, Disney, Monopoly, Playmobil, Simpsons, Asterix, Star Trek and Star Wars. He is particularly notable for his auction trilogy and his tile-laying trilogy.

From the award-winning game designer Reiner Knizia comes a game of strategy, patience, and cool plastic camels! The desert is still treacherous, mysterious, and without mercy. But for those willing to risk the dangers of the shifting, sun-baked sands, the desert holds riches beyond compare. In Through the Desert, two to five players each control a tribe of nomads vying for control of the desert. By establishing caravans and taking over oases, the players gain points as their tribes increase in power.

Note: This is the 2005 (2nd Edition) from FFG and is now re-implemented by the 2024 (Allplay Edition).
