Roanoke in the year of our Lord 1587, America. The small colony of Roanoke is left to fend for itself after John White, who tried to bring more resources back from England, did not return home as promised. Dark omens are piling up and rumors of a dark force are getting louder. In their hope of finding a God-fearing man, the villagers appoint a witch hunter. But his hunt does not even stop at the highest offices. So 9 suspects come into focus, among them even the priest and the mayor of the small town! But suspicion alone is not enough. The witch hunter needs certainty if he doesn't want to kill innocents and thus turn the whole village against him.
