Shallow Regrets

Strange fish swim beneath your boat. Things with too many eyes, too many teeth. These eldritch anomalies are worth a small fortune, provided you’ve got a dauntless heart and an iron stomach.

Create the best collection of unusual fish to maximize your earnings. Take turns fishing up monstrous creatures and adding them to your haul. As your catch grows, you can pull up larger and more valuable fish. Use potent abilities to manipulate each fisher’s fortunes. When the day ends, have the highest value in your boat to win!

Shallow Regrets is a Button Shy wallet game. What is that? It's an 18 card game with no extra components, packaged in a vinyl wallet for maximum portability. We've made over 100 of these in the last 10 years, and are thrilled to keep this line going.

We've released licensed titles before (most notably with The Walking Dead: Surrounded and Riddle of Fire) but this something a little different: a semi-licensed title building off of another board game. 

When Judson Cowan Kickstarted Deep Regrets last year, we were blown away by the game's vivid imagery, interesting gameplay, and Judson's keen attention to detail throughout the process. 

We had the opportunity to make a wallet game that fused Judson's excellent work with our own quirky style. Judson designed it and illustrated it. Mike Mullins created the solo mode. The Button Shy team made it feel like one of our wallets while still keeping the elements that made Deep Regrets so great. We're thrilled with the results and we think you will be too.

Defeat Frod in a fishing competition in this 6-card solo expansion. Scripted decision-making and a small selection of strategies for Frod to follow keeps Frod’s turns moving quickly while still capturing the unpredictability and interaction of the core game. With multiple difficulty levels, even the most skilled angler should find a challenge in Frod!

The 6-card Lingering Remorse expansion complicates your fishing plans with an assortment of bewildering fish. These new creatures have lingering effects that are ongoing, forcing you to adapt your strategy to your current collection. With the ability to add a 4th player, there's even more competition for the best catches! 

And yes, Lingering Remorse can be played with the solo mode!
