What if you could go back in time to experience incredible moments in human history?

Trekking Through History invites you to travel through time to experience beautiful moments from our past. Meet legendary people and join remarkable events as you try to see all you can before the clock runs out. You might learn a few things along the way!

We designed Trekking through History for gamers and non-gamers to play together. The goal was to make a game inviting for non-gamers, but with a little subtlety under the hood for gamers.

Trekking Through History invites you to travel through time to experience beautiful moments from our past. Meet legendary people and join remarkable events as you try to see all you can before the clock runs out. You might learn a few things along the way!

During your journey, you’ll score points in multiple ways, including collecting experience tokens and visiting events in chronological order. You'll do this on a beautiful and colorful playmat. 

Each History Card illustrates a real historical person or event on one side and and tells its story on the other. We worked with a team of experts to choose and write these cards, so even history buffs will have lots of new things to discover. 

The clock is ticking! With 12 hours each day to explore and three days total, it’s anyone’s game til the end.

Follow your itinerary to visit history’s most wonderful events, and rub elbows with fascinating people from many times and places. With 24 unique itineraries to choose from, you'll always have a new challenge to pursue.

In the game, you go on a three-day tour of human history, traveling thousands of years in a time machine to experience great moments from our past.

The game takes place over three rounds, each representing one day of your trip. Each day, you visit a series of historical events, spending a different number of hours at each.

Set up the game. 

 You'll use Day I cards to start. After each day (everyone goes around the clock), you'll switch to Day II and Day III decks.

Choose a card.

Older dates are best as you try to build a trek. Then notice how the cards will tell you how many spaces to move ahead on the clock. 

Collect your experience tokens. 

This information is also shown on the bottom of each card. 

Consider the power of time crystals. 

They can save you time on the clock and can allow you to take an extra turn!

Also consider Ancestry cards.

They'll help you keep your trek going, which can turn into a lot of points at the end of the game!

On each turn, you choose to visit one historical event, and spend a certain number of hours doing it. Doing so will yield benefits, like checking off items on your itinerary for points, and earning Time Crystals so you can bend the space-time continuum on future turns.
