This 1st Edition expansion has two sets of rules. The first set of rules follows the gameplay of the Railways of the World series. The second set of rules is a new game from Martin Wallace that features a new share system and economic engine that builds upon the Railways of the World engine. 

Note: This version is compatible with earlier version of Railways of the World. This is now re-implemented as Railways of Great Britain and compatible with the 10th Anniversary Edition of Railways of the World.

Railways of England and Wales debuted at Origins 2009. Now out of print, it was replaced in 2013 by Railways of Great Britain which is compatible with the 10th Anniversary Railways of the Word.
