Tussie-Mussie is based on a Victorian fad that assigned meanings to the flowers that friends and lovers exchanged.

Featuring I-Divide-You-Choose drafting, this microgame of 18 cards is played over three rounds. In turn, players look at the top two cards of the deck, then offer them, one face-up and one facedown, to an opponent. That opponent takes one, leaving the other for the active player.

A round ends when each player has four cards, at which point the scores are tallied. The highest score after three rounds wins!

This Tussie Everything bundle includes all the Tussie Mussie titles and expansions!

  • Tussie Mussie (base game)
  • Orange Flowers (more flowers)
  • Greenery (negative points)
  • Ribbons (shared goals)
  • Flower Shoppe Expansion (solo mode)
  • Flower Shoppe Customers XP (solo / stretch goal)

ORANGE FLOWERS EXPANSION

Muted colors are all well and good, but if you want to stand out you’ll need to add a little orange to your arrangement. Everyone knows that a well-placed Butterfly Weed can set you apart from the crowd. Of course, sometimes the most important part of being a trendsetter is knowing when to buck the trend. Should orange blooms become popular, you’ll need to know when to quit.

If you’re comfortable with the harmonious blend of pinks and purples in the base game of Tussie Mussie, the Orange Flowers expansion is the perfect way to add a pop of color to an old favorite. Orange flowers push the player interaction with their diverse scoring: depending on which you find first, you may want to gather them all for yourself or spread them around the table. There’s also the Nasturtium, a potentially powerful (though situational) card that lets the player reorder their arrangement before scoring. Don’t let another player find out why its meaning is “victory shall be ours”!

GREENERY EXPANSION

A good flower arrangement is as much about the framing as it is the flowers. Long-stemmed roses are always in vogue, and the gentle addition of a leafy fern can enhance the beauty of the blooms. Be sparing with your greenery, however: this is still a flower arrangement, after all.

The Greenery expansion introduces 5 cards that work in an all-new way. Greenery cards are great for adding a few extra points to your arrangement...as long as you don’t go overboard. One will do just fine; any more than that and you’ll lose points. Every face-down offer could be the Greenery that tips the balance, adding a delightful layer to the already rich decision-making of Tussie Mussie.

RIBBONS EXPANSION

What good is the gift of flowers without a bow to tie them all together? If you really want to catch the eye of your beloved, don’t neglect the ribbon. A proper ribbon accentuates the arrangement rather than merely being an add-on. The extra effort is sure to pay off handsomely.

If you thought Greenery added something new, get ready for Ribbons! The Ribbons expansion adds 8 Ribbon cards featuring extra goals that players can score in addition to their arrangement. These goals are visible throughout the game and each game will have 1, 2, or 3 of these cards based on player count. Ribbons don’t add to or replace cards from the deck, so they can easily be played alongside the other expansions for maximum enjoyment.

And finally, this is our very first expansion collection to come in its own wallet! All 3 expansions will be packaged in a new wallet, which is a first for Button Shy. We wanted to make this collection special, so we're going all in.

Also includes the FLOWER SHOPPE CUSTOMER EXPANISON

You’re working alone in the back of the shoppe when you hear the familiar chime of the front door. A customer! Let’s hope they’re in a buying mood. The last one only browsed for ages. A large order now might set you up nicely for the rest of the day...

Tussie Mussie: Flower Shoppe Customers expands on the solo play of Tussie Mussie: Flower Shoppe with 6 new cards. Mike Mullins (Bottom of the 9th, Pentaquark) did such a fantastic job capturing the feel of the multiplayer game when he designed the original Flower Shoppe that we knew we’d want more of his work. Flower Shoppe built on the base game by using Turn cards which direct how cards must be dealt (and taken) while letting the player decide how they’re actually assigned. It’s a great solo mode, but it’s still missing something that every Flower Shoppe should have: customers!

The new Customers expansion features 6 Customer cards, 2 of which are added to the deck between each round. Whenever a customer comes up, their unique ability will be resolved. Customers might reorganize the player’s arrangement, replace claimed cards, let the player sneak a peek at the opponent’s cards, or otherwise change the game. Not all of these abilities are helpful: sometimes the player will have to adjust on the fly. Just remember that the customer is always right!
